AIBILI Data Centre – Research Data Management for Open Science

AIBILI Data Centre – Research Data Management for Open Science – was created within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR), which is part of the National Program for Open Science and Open Research Data (PNCADAI) of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). This project arises from the critical need to manage, curate, and share health research data more effectively in Portugal, while aligning with European standards for Open Science and FAIR data principles.

Objectives
  • Provide training programs for the AIBILI community on best practices in research data management, with a focus on FAIR principles, Data Management Plans, and the curation and publication of data in the Dataverse repository.
  • Develop and implement an institutional Open Science policy aligned with national and European initiatives.
  • Create a research data repository on Dataverse to address evolving needs for interoperability, preservation, and data sharing.
  • Establish a sustainable data ecosystem that fosters collaboration and maximizes the societal impact of research outcomes.
