ETHICS COMMITTEE

AIBILI has an Independent Ethics Committee (IEC) that is responsible for protecting the rights, safety and wellbeing of human subjects involved in clinical studies (not involving Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) or medical devices classified as Class IIb or III) performed by AIBILI according to the Portuguese Decree Law No. 80/2018 of October 15th. AIBILI Ethics Committee is available to be called upon National Ethics Committee for Clinical Research (CEIC) request, in case it is needed for the review of ophthalmology clinical trials or studies since it has expertise in this scientific area.
